When looking to relocate to Europe, each European country will have its own requirements for British citizens looking to move overseas. So if you are moving to Portugal from UK after Brexit, you will need to take a look at the immigration entry requirements for Portugal.
According to the government you may travel to any country within the Schengen area (which includes Portugal) for up to 90 days in any 180 days period without a visa. If you are staying longer, then you will need to get in touch with the Portuguese government to apply for a visa. Please note that if you stay in Portugal with a residence permit or long-stay visa, this does not count towards your 90-day visa-free limit.
It’s also important to check your passport validity. In order to move to Portugal your passport must be issued less than 10 years before the date you enter the country (check the ‘date of issue’) and valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave (check the ‘expiry date’).
